Absolute MOST favorite DIY craft of 2018….the pallet sign!

I know, I know! You’re probably saying, it’s about time! As I mentioned earlier, I was saving the most favorite craft of 2018 for a later…and here it finally is! I must admit over the year I had such a blast coming up with the designs for each of these. When the sign ups for these pallet signs went out (for craft nights) it was apparent, these were absolutely going to be the MOST favorite craft of 2018. And it was! I call it “the pallet sign”.

You can find an easy tutorial on how to make one of your own, here. Not interested in making one yourself, but you still WANT one? Get one here in our shop!

Let’s just start from the beginning. The first time we offered the pallet sign, at one our craft nights, was for Easter. Now, remember, Easter was early last year so we did an Easter themed craft night before we even did Spring. It was a hit and people were asking for more, so that’s what we did.

Fabric rosette options

We allowed our crafters to make their own rosettes. They chose from many different colors and fabric options. I wish I had taken more pictures because they turned out awesome! Every one was very unique and definitely matched the personality of the crafter who made it!

Singing Bird

For some reason I feel Spring is such a promising time of year. I love when you hear the birds singing outside. It’s almost as if they are singing, “sunshine and warmth are coming soon!”

Let Freedom Ring

Let me just tell you….I LOVE the 4th of July! I love the colors, the decorations, the fireworks, the warm(hot) sunshine, the BBQ’s, the swim parties, all of it! And so I could not contain myself. Therefore, I have two signs to show for the 4th of July.

Let Freedom Ring

This great design/stencil came from Burton Avenue. You can get it here.

And of course I wouldn’t be very patriotic if I didn’t have an American flag!

After we all enjoyed our fireworks, BBQ’s, swimming parties and the hot, hot sunshine, it was inevitable. Fall was coming.

Which also meant pumpkins!

Pumpkin Patch

An old farm truck hauling pumpkins just speaks F-A-L-L to me! My favorite part of this sign is the glittered ribbon pumpkins!

Black Cat

Of course fall rolls us right into another one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! I loved this black cat so much, I actually gave her a name!

Frida the Black Cat

My favorite part of this one is definitely the whiskers! If you look closely, you will see the whiskers are finished differently. This is because we offered our crafters options on how to finish them off.

Give Thanks

The calm, comforting time of year where we are surrounded by the ones we love. We also reflect on all of the good times and great blessings we have been given. This simple phrase just sums it up nicely.

Give Thanks

And a couple smaller options:

Gobble-Gobble-Gobble

Glittered Acorn

This gorgeous design/stencil came from Burton Avenue. You can get it here.

After our bellies have been stuffed with food and gratitude we then enter into the Christmas season and the end of the year.

Jingle Bell Reindeer Silhouette

This is personally one of my favorites! I love how it turned out. The classic print of this fabric makes it look so warm and cozy. Grouped with the natural raw wood and the shiny bells on the antlers, just finish this one off perfectly!

As I look back over the year 2018, I enjoy seeing all the different crafts that we have made. It makes me excited for the year to come! So stay tuned and join us on our adventure.

If you really enjoyed seeing all these beautiful signs and want to make one of your own, here is a great tutorial so you can!

Happy Crafting! –Brandee
